In Europe, it is often assumed that woman have already achieved equal rights and that the main concerns of traditional feminist theories are outdated. However, after a closer look at ourselves and the society we live in, we realize immediately that we are still living in a world in which social roles, rules and functions are assigned according to patriarchal mindsets. I find these three videos to be perfect conscious-raising examples that illustrate the importance of keeping up the public debate on gender equality.
